Old Village Near Yangjiang

So, we went to an “old village” near Yangjiang yesterday.  When someone tells you that you’re going to an “old village” in China it can mean several things.  It could be a top-of-the-line preserved tourist village complete with gift shops – or – it could be an old village where people live.  Yesterday’s village was the later, which I enjoyed.  We had to drive on a small road (that in the US we would call a sidewalk) after stopping to ask directions no less than 10 times.  It was an interesting adventure.  I may have been the first American to tour the village in its 300 year existence.  I’m definately the first with a Nikon…

    Jim,
Your brother, Michael and I are friends in Asheville. We recently traveled to Cuba together. I was checking out his website which led me to your photographs. They are extraordindary as are your stories and commentary. They are powerful, touching and visually stunning. Just had to let you know.
