吉姆 JIM HOFMAN | Photography Faces & places in China

Qingxi 7.16

I went to Qingxi to celebrate the fourth of July with a group of expat friends.  I also made my usual tour of the town for street photos.  It never disappoints.

I’ve photographed the lady in the first image below on several other trips.  I love the steam that bellows out of the steam table and how the light catches it against the dark background. Like many street photographers, I “work the scene” until I get the shot I’m looking for.  In this case it took 5 frames to get the final shot.

Just curious about your editing software…are you using Lightroom, or Photoshop and/or other? Hope you don’t mind Jim. I like your work.

I import and process using Lightroom CC, then tweak slightly in Photoshop CC if required. I use a custom filter in NIK Silver Effects for the black and white conversion.
