I’m at the tail end of another trip and have an extra day to kill in Shanghai. Last night I wandered the neighborhood in Pudong taking a few night shots with the P7700. It takes a little processing to get the noise out, but after a while I started liking the grainy quality. A retro Tri-X Pan black & white vibe.
Yesterday I traveled to Shanghai by car from Ningbo – with me behind the wheel. After coming to China for 27 years some of the factories that I work with are letting me drive their cars. In this case, the driver was exhausted and let me drive the second half of the trip, including the 22 miles over the Hangzhou Bay Bridge that connects Ningbo with Shanghai. The real challenge was driving on the expressways in Shanghai. I’ve driven in London, Rome, New York & Los Angeles, but the drivers in Shanghai are pretty special (not in a good way).
