This was a painting I did in 1983 using some street images that I shot in college. I walked around the Loop area of Chicago with a SLR camera mounted on a hand grip with a shutter release. The low angle was from shooting at about knee height. It was my earliest “shooting-from-the-hip” experience. I actually spliced-together two images – which is why the perspective is dizzying.
