Extreme Fashion in China

“Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months.”
Oscar Wilde

The guy with the big hair was walking toward me in Qingxi and I realized I couldn’t risk missing the shot by using my usual “shoot-from-the-hip” sniping method.  Instead I trotted out some of my legendary crappy Chinese and politely asked him if I could take his photo.  I figured his “look” was a desperate cry for attention, so odds were good that he would agree to an American taking his photo.  I was right.  He stood and posed for about 8 frames.  And no, he’s not into cosplay, this is his everyday appearance.  I’ve seen a lot of male Chinese hair stylists with the big, colorful hair.
