I visited Yangjiang twice on this trip, including a period that overlapped with the annual kite festival (photos in a separate post).
I used both my big DSLR and my smaller Nikon P7800 “night camera” on this trip and I’ve started to embrace the smaller camera body. It’s less intimidating on the street and I’ve mastered the exposure compensation feature now. I dug an old Nikon flash out of the drawer and paired it with the small camera for some nice night shots. Lesson learned – camera size (and cost) doesn’t always guarantee good photos. Sometimes size doesn’t matter.
