All photos were shot using a Mamiya 6 | 50mm f4 lens. Some were taken on Portra 400 and the evening shots used Cinestill 800T.
This was the summer of protests in Hong Kong and I saw evidence of them, but never actually saw any protesting even though I was in HK three different times. I left HK on the first day of of the protesting at the airport, but my plane left before they actually began. Lucky.
The first photo in this gallery is actually a mistake. When the film was processed the chemicals failed to develop the last few millimeters of the roll. I view this as a visual metaphor for the situation in Hong Kong.
