So, we went to an “old village” near Yangjiang yesterday. When someone tells you that you’re going to an “old village” in China it can mean several things. It could be a top-of-the-line preserved tourist village complete with gift shops – or – it could be an old village where people live. Yesterday’s village was the later, which I enjoyed. We had to drive on a small road (that in the US we would call a sidewalk) after stopping to ask directions no less than 10 times. It was an interesting adventure. I may have been the first American to tour the village in its 300 year existence. I’m definately the first with a Nikon…
