I went to Zhujiajiao today. It’s a water town on the outskirts of Shanghai that was established about 1,700 years ago. Archaeological finds dating back 5,000 years have also been discovered. Thirty six stone bridges and numerous rivers line Zhujiajiao, and many ancient buildings still line the riverbanks today. Mostly it’s a tourist village these days, full of restaurants & shops. It was nice to escape the big city for a few hours…
