Saturday Afternoon in the Village

I took these shots on a cool January afternoon on the weekend before the Chinese New Year holiday began. The overcast weather produced some nice flat outdoor lighting. The lighting in the meat market was a different story. Most of the meat shops used bright red & orange light bulbs to make the raw meat appear more appealing (it didn’t work for me). The combination of red / fluorescent / and a dose of natural filtered light made white balance correction impossible.  Oh, and the smell…
